PROPERONI Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:
250g macaroni pasta
50g butter
50g plain flour
500ml milk
200g grated cheddar cheese
100g sliced PROPERONI® Pepperoni or Chorizo
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cook the macaroni pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the plain flour and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly to avoid any lumps. Allow the mixture to simmer gently until it thickens, stirring occasionally.
Once the sauce has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the grated cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni pasta, cheese sauce, and sliced PROPERONI® Mix until everything is evenly coated.
Transfer the mac and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish/es and spread it out evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.
