Cheesy Pizza-Style Baked Dip

Many thanks for YouTube legend Tom Voyage for this delicious recipe using our Classic Pepperoni Crumble. A rich, oven-baked cheese dip inspired by classic pizza flavours. Perfect for sharing, this comforting dish is ideal served with warm bread, pizza crusts or toasted flatbreads.

 

Ingredients

• 250g full-fat soft cheese

• A generous handful of grated mozzarella

• A handful of grated Red Leicester

• 1 tsp garlic granules (or 1 clove garlic, finely minced)

• 2 tsp dried oregano

• ½ small red onion, finely diced

• 200g tomato pizza sauce or passata, lightly seasoned

• 80g PROPERONI Classic pepperoni crumble

• Freshly grated Parmesan to finish

 

This recipe works well with whatever you have to hand:


Cheese Alternatives

• Swap Red Leicester for what ever you have in your fridge!

• Use a mozzarella and Cheddar mix for a stronger flavour.

• Add a spoonful of mascarpone for extra richness.


Extra Topping Ideas

•  A drizzle of hot honey

  A pinch of dried chilli flakes


Method

1. Preheat the oven/pizza oven to 250°C (230°C fan) 480f

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the soft cheese, mozzarella, Red Leicester, garlic, herbs and diced red onion. Mix until well blended.

3. Spoon the mixture into a cold, ovenproof pan or small baking dish and spread evenly.

4. Layer the tomato sauce over the top.

5. Finish with a little grated Parmesan, an extra sprinkling of mozzarella and the PROPERONI Classic Crumble

6. Bake for around 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbling and lightly golden at the edges.

7. Leave to stand for a few minutes before serving. Add a final grating of Parmesan - delicious!

 

Serve warm with crusty bread, garlic baguette slices, focaccia, or torn pizza crusts for dipping.
